Would that soften it a bit?

I think therapists should be genuine to who they are. I just mean that when I'm telling my therapist something and she gets this horrified look on her face (or even the slightest hint that it may be shocking to her) I stop talking. I don't want to horrify anyone.

Or do I need to work on my poker face? Although part of my style is to provide real, honest reactions to my clients, so hmmmmm.

I do like getting honest reactions from her, I'm just apprehensive about some of the things I am going to have to tell her. It's just one of my many fears that I have to get over. From what I have read in your posts, you are a wonderful, caring therapist. I wouldn't change a thing.
