Made my T uncomfortable!

Posted by Speaker on January 26, 2004, at 23:13:43

I have been with this T about 3 months now and it is in a clinic setting. Last week I asked my T if I could see my chart ( I know legally they have to show it) and of course he wanted to know why. I told him there are so many people in the office that can read it that I should be able to read it myself. He suggested I didn't trust that what he says about me is what he has written about me...could be some truth there. Then I asked him what the big deal is that he didn't want to show it to me and he said he was uncomfortable with me seeing it. I laughed inside...I'm uncomfortable every week I go in there so I don't feel to bad about him being uncomfortable. I know I'm a bit parinoid about others knowing my business but thats my option. Today I asked if he brought my chart to his office...NO, but he said he would go get it. I told him I would wait until my next appt. I didn't say this but I pay 2.20 a minute so I didn't want to pay for him to walk to the front office and back...I know I'm BAD. I have a medical background and I know people often read charts...he acts like nobody would read my chart...get a clue he is a man and the office is full of women! Am I being to hard on him???
