I quit college in my first year because of severe depression, but I didn't realize that my misery had an explanation or that anyone else experienced it too. I thought I was just some kind of super-defective freak.

Then I went back, dropped out again for years, went back, still had problems and graduated. It was only 10 years altogether!

I think I know what pointers I'd give myself back then (or my unfortunate clone now), but...

I don't want to ask for too much personal data, but can I ask how far along you are? Do you live on campus or with family? Do you have somebody in your corner -- like Burgess Meredith in 'Rocky' -- who says "You can do this, kid!"? (I didn't.)
