> Your feelings of anger, moodiness, and feeling plain stupid (like turning in wrong stuff to your boss) are very normal. Do not be too hard on yourself, especially if your depression was do to a boyfriend, it is highly possible that you don't have a chronic mental illness and the drugs served a purpose at the time and are not necessary anymore!:) I have taken many different antidepressants and I am currently weening myself off of Lexapro this week. I generally liked it but I felt I gained weight in the few weeks I was on it and decided to get off of birth control and other prescription drugs to "detox" if you will, for hopes of starting a family in the future...and now I have a migrane and muscle tension in the base of my skull, also muscle tension in my body and back. I go through waves of nausa, dizziness and fatique and then the next minute I am ok. I also feel like I make very stupid mistakes I normally wouldn't, and driving can be interesting! The feeling is temporary as you may or may not know and there is light at the end of the tunnel for you. Do yourself a favor, and pamper yourself ... don't try to fight it, or be a superwoman, and take on too much during this time. Many of your daily tasks and extra plans can wait! You need to mentally rest too! Hang in there and please let me know when you start feeling better and how long it took!

Hey GG, just to update you, I went to my therapist the other day and she thinks that b/c I am due for a review at my job next week, I should start taking a 1/2 pill every night again just to be a little level headed for that. I really do not want to be on these meds but, I will try to go off again very soon. the strange thing is that I can't tell if I feel more agitated when takiing the pill or without. I can't really explain it. Very strange. And, just as you, I am on birth control pills and wondering if they are elevating my mood along with everything. Who knows, I just can't wait to totally be off of these things. I know they helped at the time but, I know I don't need them anymore. I hope you are doing well with weaning off lexapro. I can't even tell you what side effects to look for b/c, I was on such a low dosage, 5mg every other day. I hope everything is well, and I think it's a great idea to detox your body if you want to start a family. Good luck, and keep in touch.

Trish
