hi mist.
yeah, it's an eye-opener, but Dr. Blanton's joyfully bilious prose style may be hard to take for some, if so, i'll recmd one more, this is written in a much more conciliatory and feminine style, and she is one of his minions, so it's basically his rap in a prettier wrap (sorry).

GETTING REAL
10 TRUTH SKILLS YOU NEED TO LIVE AN AUTHENTIC LIFE

SUSAN CAMPBELL, PH.D

Basically it's about identifying neurosis in oneself, its source (the mind, control, need for certainty, unwillingness to accept reality, how principles interfere with all of it, etc)
and mostly about how to get and maintain intimacy, how to fight, without bad faith, or harming the relationship.

when i follow these guides in tense situations everyone ends up feeling empowered and respected. i am inclined to master this method, wow, guess that makes me a disciple (laughs), sorry if proseletyzing!
