you can get cortisol tests, i think its a salivary measurement. you'd probably need to do it a few times (once right first thing in the morning, another midday, etc)

i don't think i've seen evidence particular antidepressants cause directional changes in cortisol, once accounting for starting level (ie, are they reducing cortisol->antdepressant effect, or are they antidepressing you-> nomalized cortisol)
