how much glycine and EPA to take for negative sx?

Posted by iforgotmypassword on April 22, 2008, at 7:32:47

(THIS IS NOT AN ALTERNATIVE POST. NEED ELABORATION/RATIONAL-THEORIZATION ON HOW THIS MAY HELP NEUROLOGICALLY AS WELL)

need to know so i can try this. having a VERY rough time. articles are feeling impossible to sift through. what i can find roughly based on help for neg. sx. and OTHER DIAGNOSES tested in studies, is that 1 gram and over of EPA, and that 15 grams and over of glycine can have psychoactive benefit.

also IMPORTANTLY, would like to theorize on basis. relating to how it helps (as they apparently do in some studies), so i know IF IT MAY HELP ME. or if other meds or supplements with similar mechanism may help.

my life has been non-existant for nearly a decade, and i have existed in storage. (subsidized housing, disability benefit, no high school diploma at 23 years, 11 months and 1 week)

negative symptoms were strongly suggested as my problem last diagnosis. these two drugs have been used for these lately, but also other things... may relate itself to my case.

my problems best described as: executive dysfunction, inability to DO, feelings of mental and physical rigidity, i both lose words in an EXTREME WAY, but sometimes cannot control their overflow and their directions (which along with my movements led to my last diagnosis of psychosis (psychotic disorder NOS)), problems both inhibiting and disinhibiting my behaviour, and off/on (purposeless) feelings of hyperactive akathisia and neuropathic like sensations in arms and lower face. akathisia and rigidity in my case often COME TOGETHER, making me look very strange. random outbursts of random, unreasonable RAGE. (i have done serious damage to my apartment, have scars on my forehead, but i guess thankfully they are not big or discoloured)

daytime bruxing, straining my face along inexplicable with akathitic or neuropathic like feelings, sometimes twitching, pacing, yet paradoxically accompanied with freezing/sticking feeling to movements and incredible difficulty pushing my thoughts through in actions and tasks, moving on and re-adapting to different topics, moving on between tasks and steps, organizing, decision.

extreme clinical hoarding. cannot make decision to discard keep without confusion, incredible inexplicable mental resistance, and following mental exhaustion.

stimulants have OCCASSIONALLY helped, but have also sometimes been the worst. wellbutrin helped once. developped tolerance quickly.

of all drugs that help notably with both ability to DO and physical de-tensing is LORAZEPAM. can make me act unreliably. can help cognition, can lose control over it and what specifically what thought paths i end up leading to executing behaviour.

tried neurontin, dulled akathtic feelings but muddling and odd, focusing primarily on GABA seems to be an oversimplification.

LYME DISEASE i tested positive for before. yet, if anyone has tried to navigate and seek professional help down this route, you know you get NOWHERE. it is endless. and doctors are locking horns both over who's full of sh*t and who gets to be more apathetic. who knows who is right, you can't read their minds and even if you could, of whoever is 'lying', a significant amount of professionals seem to believe their own lies. this is not helpful, as people who post lyme disease discussion boards seem very impressionable with regards to diagnosing themselves and paying ridiculous amounts of money for very dubious therapies. (long term antibiotics the least of which)

i'll end here. i have likely not organized this properly enough.
