So this is sorta random, but I don't really know where to turn for information on this. I've been wondering how brain cancer was treated before the X-ray machine was invented, when the brain truly was a black box. I'm thinking that when a brain tumor caused severe cognitive deficits, erratic behavior, hallucinations, etc., that people were likely routinely slapped with a label of crazy and institutionalized. Anyone know anything about this or have any ideas on where I might look to back up my theory? Thanks!
