It's good you are concerned and seeking help. I'm not sure if you are going to get any good answers here though. Have you addressed all of this with your doctor/surgeon yet? What type of anesthesia will be used? I'd be sure to talk to the anesthesiologist (if one will be administering) as well as the doctors involved-just to cover all your bases. Nurses can sometimes be more helpful with details too.
