Almost 10 years ago I ended up in hospital with septic arthritis.

The fluid on my knee became infected and half a cup of pus was removed before (thankfully) it exploded into the joint.

Since then I've had an arthroscopy to remove some non-functioning split-off cartilage.

I have managed to remain asymptomatic since then by the use of the recommended (non-mainstream) supplements, which of course include glucosamine and fish oil, as well as other anti-inflammatory compounds from plants.
