What an interesting idea. I asked my husband to bring home some waterchestnuts, so I'll try that out.

Bananas, though -- not in MY house! (Even the smell makes me sick. Dunno why... When you come visit, you can eat the Unclean Fruit on the balcony...)

Thanks. I've also discovered Clausen's pickles. The Bread And Butter are delicious, and the Dill have only about 3 calories per slice. They're crunchy, too, which is always satisfying.

(Along with the waterchestnuts, though, AlsoRan brought home Ruffles BBQ Potato Chips, too. NOT low cal, NOT healthy, but -- his excuse -- 'the cat likes them, and he's sick, so we should give him his favorite things...' Yeah, uh-huh, right, I believe that's the only reason you brought them home, honey...)
