> The part of me who wishes he still had faith is the same part that wishes for the return of the innocence of childhood. The more mature part of me, however, sees both as states of dependence. I had a revelation, as well. Since the dawn of mankind, there have been many different explanations of the origin of the universe and what happens when we die. Some attribute creation to God, some attribute it to multiple Gods, some to no God. And, even among those who share a belief in a single Supreme Being, there are widely differing opinions on the details. Secondly, even if you had a spacecraft capable of infinite fuel, water and food, as well as the ability to suspend the aging process, you could drive that hooptie off into outer space and never reach the end of it. It is unfathomable, just as death is unfathomable to the living. To me, it stands to reason that if there is a force that holds dominion over both, then that force must be equally unfathomable.

M_F,
You wrote,[...wishes for the return to innocence and childhood...].
Now I am prevented from posting here what Mr Hsiung has prohibited me from posting. But what you wrote here is a remarkable statement.
You see, one of the conditions for one to enter the new realm of life and peace and light, is to become as a little child. You may have noted in some of my archived posts about returning to the green fields that you used to know. You see, when the conditions are fulfilled, one can overcome, and he that overcomes can eat of the tree of life which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.
It is too bad that I am prevented from posting this revelation, for to enter the transformed life that I want to post here about, one has to have faith of the nature that you receive the faith of the Rider on the white horse. His faith comes by hearing the Word of God, which is the Rider speaking. That is what I am here for, so that you have the opportunity to hear the Word which could impart this faith that goes beyond understanding to you.
Lou
