On a similar but not specifically religious note... always feel a little irritated when someone who wins a sporting event says something like, "God was on our side today," or something like that. Does that mean that God was "against" the losing team or somehow is "less on their side?"

It just seems a bit presumptuous to me to think God would prefer the Vols versus the Gators in this year's game. Or vice versa. Who knows if God even follows SEC football? Perhaps she's more of a Big Ten fan? Or wait...isn't it Skeeball???
