Reasons to work towards recovery?

Posted by Racer on December 30, 2007, at 2:17:17

OK, at least a few of us here have had troubles for years now. I can think of all sorts of reasons to hate my body, and to despise myself for every bite I eat, and every pound I see the scale edge up. What i have more trouble with is coming up with reasons to recover. What say we exchange some reasons here, and see if that helps?

The only reason I can think of to work towards recovery is that I'm so fat and hideous now, that I may as well give up on ever being a decent size again. I don't think that's a healthy reason to want to recover, though. Does someone else out there have any ideas?
