sorry to get onto this so late.
Am too tired to read all the replies, but want you to know that for years we had a coin attached to the bulletin board.
This particular coin had been through my son's whole digestive system!!!!!!!
Also one time a VERY large prune pit!!!
For all I know (not having read whole thread) it's been in one end & is now out the other.
Unless you smooshed the poop, it could have gone the way of all dirty diapers long ago.

PS - eating & pooping out coins is EASY......wait a few years.
OOPS - sorry - that WOULD deserve a PBC is guess, but I don't mean it nastily kk. You sound like a wonderful Mom & for now, I feel quite confident that following your intuition will serve you quite well.
