That's the exact same thing that happened to me. When I finished the book, I went to amazon to see what else she wrote. I wasn't into the rest of her published works. But I'll wait to see what's next.

I gave the book to out patients during Black History month. On the unit, we have a very diverse crowd as far as race and ethnicity (and every other aspect of humanity!). For many patients, this is the first time they've ever lived in a mixed environment. I think this book really cements the concept of racism as *taught* by the people we grow up around.

It's been a real conversation starter for some patients. Truly has offered growth opportunities. Maybe that goes full circle back to the author's spiritual roots?
