Medicine is not capable of predicting what is best for you, as an individual. It can, however, provide you with the most likely positive treatments. Scott has provided you with the best guidance we have.
For some reason, statin drugs have been under attack for what are really rare side effects. They have been the subject of negative propaganda.
If I understand the thread correctly, what you really should be treating is Type II diabetes? That is a direct threat to your health, that is best managed behaviourally.
