I can't imagine that inositol would be dangerous with any antidepressant, but I can't produce any guarantees for you. My doctor has prescribed for me the use of large amounts of inositol in combination with an MAO inhibitor (Parnate). I didn't speak to her about combining it with SSRIs specifically, but she does have other patients using it.> What scares me a bit is that the inositol which I bought is made by a company which also sells 5-HTP. What if for example by accident 5-HTP gets into the inositol or they fill 5-HTP into inositol canisters and then I take it thinking it's inositol?
> Isn't this pretty risky?Regarding your fears, I don't think there is much chance of such a mistake occurring.
I have noticed your reluctance to take medications based upon what you read about their possible side effects. Without evaluating the statistical risk of each side effect occurring, a list means very little. It would be better to address your specific concerns with your doctor rather than attempt to interpret medical literature yourself.
Are you generally obsessive or ruminating? What are you being treated for?
