Glycine for OCD and Anxiety but excites glutamate?

Posted by fiat500 on December 11, 2013, at 0:52:11

I a confused about Glycine as I have seen that 60 grams a day has been useful for OCD but I see that it is a coagonist for glutamate and nmda receptors? I am confused. Does that mean that low doses of Glycine cause anxiety? Any input would be appreciated. It seems like Glycine being an amino acid, might have limited drug interactions and could be an augmenter to anti depressants etc..
