Well there you go. Next time I'll try taking it when I'm feeling anxious, which should be soon...haha. I guess I could see how it could help concentration by quieting down the mind chatter.
It's kind of nice because I sort of went into the Bacopa experiment not knowing what to expect, but hoping for a better memory and ability to learn. I guess I may have expected something stimulating, but not knowing exactly what to expect allowed me to be somewhat objective when I felt drowsy/chilled out more than once.
