Wow, that is a tough question.

The straightest way to increase NE is to take tyrosine. Another is DLPA. Sometimes both together. People often take too much and never know the goodness they might have had. Too much feels bad, just as too little NE feels bad. Doses on bottles are way too high for starting doses. Customizing small doses is the only way to go.

Many herbs have NE boosting effects. Ginkgo biloba cause NE release. SJW is a serotonin, NE, DA, GABA, and glutamate reuptake inhibitor, all in one. You want to really boost NE?...Yohimbe. Yohimbe is a powerful NE herb.

The gingsengs will over time...2 to 6 months...stabilize and enhance the function of NE. Primarily Siberian Ginseng. The others are too stimulating and may actually burn out NE.

OTC allergy or weight loss drugs with epinephrine are also direct rapid ways to get the job done.

The safest way I know of is very low dose DLPA or tyrosine or both, low enough that you can't hardly feel it, for at least 6 weeks...let it build up and do its thing. Doses probably 75mg-200mg total daily. Much lower than suggested doses. Some people however do take high doses such as 1000mg or more. It depends on if you feel irritation, agitation...that is a sign of too much.

As a general tonic, I am not aware of a better one than longterm Siberian Ginseng. Either a capsule that has a 50/50 mix of extract and whole herb, or better yet, the HerbPharm tincture which is the closest thing to the powerful Russian brand used in successful clinical studies.
