based on my doctor's advice, i've tapered off memantine in order to get a better idea as to which of my problems are intrinsic and which are lingering sfx. he also advised that i restart up my program for undermethylation, prescribed by another gp. at the moment i am taking:
morning-
1000mg l-methionine
100mg b6
50mg p5p
80mg:80mg cal/mag supp x 2
500mg vit cnight
1000mg l-methionine
30mg zinc picolinate
500mg vit c
80:80mg cal/mag x 2at this point, i am not naive enough to believe that any single supplement could be the sole culprit of my symptoms (something i've been guilty of in the past); i do have issues w/ sleep disruption which make me more tired during the day. but since restarting the regime, i have felt noticeably more tired during the day. it's not really anything to do with physical energy. i just get really sleepy. i'm looking at getting hormone testing done soon for depression, but in the meantime i'd rather not exacerbate any tiredness. the doctor's rationale behind b6 and p5p is to see whether my body can convert b6 on its own; he'll then eliminate one accordingly. my guess is either the high b6+p5p dose or cal/mag in the morning might be doing it?
