Hey guys. Usually I post on the prescription segment on this site, but wanted some input on an herbal solution. A relative of mine is experiencing much milder depressive symptoms than I am prone to, and wants me to recommend dietary supplements to try. Rather than recommend one, I wanted to give a cocktail of stuff that worked for me,individually, when I took supplements. I recommended:
St. John Wort - 300mg/ twice daily
Sam-E - 200mg/ twice daily
Ginseng - 100mg/ twice daily
5HTP - 5mg twice daily
Rhodiola Rosea - 200mg/twice daily
Vitamin B Complex - 50mg/ twice dailyI would appreciate input on this cocktail from those of you who know the supplement market well, and what I should add or subtract in this. I want a nice cocktail for her to try before even thinking about the prescription market. Thanks.
