Benfotiamine/Vitamin B1 and Bipolar

Posted by Lao Tzu on November 9, 2008, at 16:48:01

Both benfotiamine (fat soluble B1) and regular B1 hydrochloride may help bipolars because of B1's antioxidant abilities. I find that taking these two along with other supplements such as Vitamin E, Vitamin C, selenium, fish oil, borage oil, and vitamin B6 positively helps with mood. However, don't expect that either Benfotiamine or B1 hydrochloride will act as "mood boosters" for you. They may both be beneficial if taken with other supplements. At least, that's my experience.
