Bipolar Depression--vitamin E

Posted by Lao Tzu on September 25, 2008, at 10:44:30

Noticed that at least 200IU of natural vitamin E should be taken at bedtime with the supplements I recommended in the previous post for good sleep. 300IU might be somewhat better. Also, when I take vitamin E during the day, I don't buy the 400IU capsules because I think that is too high of a dosage for daytime use. Instead, I buy the 100IU and 200IU natural vitamin E capsules from the vitamin store. For me, 100IU is sometimes enough during the day, perhaps taking 100IU in the morning and 100IU in the late afternoon. 200IU is a little more potent. You may or may not like it, but I have taken 200IU capsules during the day without much complaint. I've also noticed that vitamin E goes well with a little Niacin and some P5P (B6), say 100IU of vitamin E , 250mg Niacin, and 25-50mg P5P. This combination is like a "chill" pill.
