In reply to Acupuncture and euphoria, posted by Partlycloudy on September 2, 2008, at 7:36:27
I'm too slow to be able to work out
'I can't say I don't dislike it'
at this time of the morning, before tea.Normally with double negatives I say that it's more or less the same as a positive, but with 3 I have to choose which ones to cancel with a positive. So it becomes (with appropriate reservations)
'I can't say I like it'
or
'I can say I do dislike it.'
Of course you may not have meant what you said?
Not that it matters.
Maybe I should just go back to bed?Anyway, acupuncture had often caused euphoria in me. It hasn't lasted very long (no surprises there) but has been quite real. There is, of course, a huge difference between practitioners, even when treating the same complaint.
Some people say it's endorphins.
