Hi -

I recently started experimenting with this stuff again. Sigh....nothing has a lasting good effect on me any more apart from B vitamins, zinc and Mg it seems!

Ok, so yesterday I loaded up on GLA to get a clear effect. I initially felt very good. Almost manic - started doing lots of things round the house etc. Went on a long walk and met up with some friends for drinks in the evening.

Noticed that I was unusually socially anxious, so pretty much downed a rum and coke, then had another - so here a bit of drinking was involved. Went to bed and woke up feeling absolutely awful. Could be the alcohol, but usually if I drink 2 drinks I feel fine the next day.

Anyway, got up and started crying uncontrollably. This is how GLA always is for me - it actually makes me incredibly depressed for some reason. It is supposed to raise those PGE-1 levels or whatever they're called, but for me this doesn't seem to be a good thing.

I should also mention 5-htp has a terrible effect on me - make me very depressed. Tyrosine makes me irritable and glutamine makes me down and gives me a big headache. Guess I'm just weird with stuff. It is incredibly frustrating because I am trying to get a hold on various addictions (smoking, drinking although not alcoholic...yet), but that is another post :)
