The more I have been looking into things I am fairly certain this is a major problem for me.
I have been daignosed with bipolar and like many people here tried all the mood stabilizers and anti-depressants , to no avail. In fact taking mood stabilizers might as well been like taking a sugar pill, no good or bad effect.
SAM-e , which is probabbly the quickest methylator, always gave me a quick shot of feeling good ( epinepherine is what a previous poster said) and then would leave me pretty much suicidal , out of the blue , very nasty. Also, before I satrted sam-e a few yrs ago I would get depressed, but it has gotten 10 fold worse since I occasionally started taking it. coincidence?
I have been taking niacin, folic acid and zinc for just a few days and aleady feel the anxiety ,which was constant, smoothing out,
My question and request is to speak to someone who knows about or has experienced this condiion themself. As to how much they recovered, how long did it take, maintenence, continued testing, etc.
I sincerely appreciate any help or insight anyone may have
