Hi Meagan.
Did a search 'dosing tryptophan' and it speaks to 1000 to 3000mg as being most usually sufficent w/ the addition of B3 (niacinaminde) and B12 for the production of 5HTP I believe.

I've never tried it, but recently have thought, since not on an AD or a mood stabilizer, and just a very low dose of neuroleptic, just might.
Afa serotonin syndrome, think maybe if felt this, I'd be out the door and seeking help b4 damage could be done. U?
The article speaks about a lot of stress increasing cortisol. I'm under tremendous stress and it's just overwhelming.
Can u just surpass trypthophan and take 5HTP; that would be great.
Does chocolate have tryptophan or tyramine in it; can't recall; just know it makes me feel a litlte better for a few minutes following eating it.
I'm feeling pretty awful and need something. Oh. Site also mentioned developing a sort of OCD. Lately my stress is so high I'm finding myself behaving in this manner so as not to look at the stressors!
I've also been thinking about ginko leaf extract re: anxiety. Altho', good ole taurine works well for this and I have some.
Okay, 'that's all I could afford($) to purchase in one montn' .. just the tryptophan, so that would be it for me. Already have the B3 and B6. Wonder which brand is preferable.
Hope u get some better answers so I could 'learn more too'.

And, please don't feel a need respond to me unless I've misspoken or brought up anything important; hoping someone w/ tryptophan experience will joint post.
