I recently saw a program on UK TV by Stephen Fry (he has manic depression) he interviewed many people who suffer with this condition. He interviewed a doctor who had been institutionalised because of this condition. She has been symptom free for 14 years, she recommends eating fish and taking fish oils, and also eating a healthy diet with lots of vegetables, fruit and seeds such as flax seed and hemp seed.
I know this isn't a wonder cure there's no such thing unfortunately. However it should be worth taking fish oils and improving diet etc.
