How much vitamin e w/ fish oil?

Posted by saturn on April 22, 2006, at 17:54:30

I've heard that too much vitamin e (ie 200-400 IU + found in many vitamin e supplements) can actually cause pro-oxidation when combined with fish oil.

Does anyone know how much vitamin e should be taken in proportion to fish oil dosage?

(BTW I take total 2500 mg omega 3, about 1600 of it EPA--roughly 10 1000mg capsules).

I take wheat germ oil as a vitamin e supplement to fish oil and think I recall hearing that only 10-20 mg vitamin e is needed to be taken in conjunction with the fish oil.

Thanks for any input.
