Hi -

I liked inositol intitially for sleeping (decreased waking during the night) and it did seem to have both a relaxing and antidepressant effect. However in the end it made me go a bit nuts (as in very emotionally unbalanced). I cured that with one pill of lithium orotate, which made me wonder if inositol depletes the brain of lithium (and vice versa is known I think).

However it did decrease my obsessiveness. If it hadn't made me go nuts I would have continued it.

BTW, I used to like mixing it with GABA and also niacinamide - in fact you can buy this mixture as something called GABA Plus I think - from Twinlab? Apparently the niacinamide (B3) helps to get the GABA past the blood brain barrier. I found this combo quite calming.

Good luck
