In my line of work I have found most seafood allergies to actually be allergies to iodine. Is your father allergic to all seafood are just primarily shellfish/seaweed/crab etc.? I know that kelp and seaweed products usually contain a fair amount of iodine and should be introduced with caution. Perhaps consulting your father's physician or allergist prior to introducing him to a potentially harmful substance would be in your/his best interest. I'm not sure what the iodine content is in the limu extract vs full on kelp, but it would be worth the research.
