I've had some success with homeopathy. Much of my depression on a depth level I've identified with impacted grief going way back to childhood. I've had a couple courses of 10M Ignatia and it's helped, but because it's such a very high dose, it also kicked up some old stuff. Each time I take it I remove another layer.
But the real news is my cat, Jasper. He's a very big fluffy pure white cat who has had a hard time adjusting to new cats as they're abandoned at our place. He pulls his fur out and for a while last winter around 9 pm his pupils would get dilated, his skin and tongue bright red and he would act absolutely crazed and inconsolate. Took him to our homeopathic vet who took one look and said 'Belladonna'. Gave him 30C a few times and he was another cat altogether. When he starts up like that again I give him a dose and within a day he's back to our Bunny. My vet said animals react so much more impressively when you find the right remedy because they're alot less complex than we are. Anyhow, I'm about 90% a believer, but I wouldn't depend on it for my only emotional/biochemical support. - Barbara
