In reply to CO Q10 for long term use?, posted by Jed_G on July 1, 2005, at 18:17:41
hey! I'm new to the whole "alternative" health thing, so I can only really share with you what I've been reading. One thing that might work for you is combining alpha lipoic acid with the COQ10...the alpha lipoic acid should be dosed 2-3X daily, and it works nicely combined with vitamin C, vitamin E, and possibly selenium (Vitmain E supplementation levels should be kept kinda low). A nice B-complex will also boost energy, reduce brain fog, and work nicely with the COQ10, especially with regards to the beneficial cardiovascular effects of both substances. On the herbal front, green tea extract is good (try to get at least 150mgs polyphenols, divided up into 2-3 daily doses), grape seed extract is also good, and gingko and ginseng also work nicely for energy and clear-headedness. Good luck!
