Hey Kara -
thanks for asking! Yeah - they're fine. Actually my husband James was visiting there for an astronomy conference, but it's in the North in Durham, nowhere near London. I got like 5 calls that morning without knowing what had happened asking if he was ok (at 6-7 in the morning here - I was very confused!)My parents live further south by the sea so they're ok. However, I have numerous friends from university who live and work in London and I have been sending them emails to find out if they're ok. It's just so crap and what really struck me was now traumatic for those having to get back out of the underground afterwards. Most people obviously travel to work at that time. That underground is scarey enough normally - the Northern Line especially (it is very old and goes very deep) - and everyone had just started to relax after all the bombings/fires before.
I feel for those people - how can one ever come to terms with stuff like that? It's crap. Very crap.
