No, I am not a doctor, but I am familliar with many of the alternative treatments for various psychological disorders.
Schitsophrenia is very complex. Some theorize it is due to imballences in dopaminergic neurotransmission.
Antipsychotic drugs work by blocking the actions of dopamine in certain ares of the brain.
Its really complex and a lot is unknown. What often happens is that as the disease progresses, the patient's diet becomes increasingly sparce in nutrients that may play a pivital role in recovery.
An individualized approach is alwyas best. Many people with the disease are helped by the addition of certain alternative treatments.
