> I take melatonin. It helps me fall asleep but I am unable to stay asleep. I spend as much time awake as sleeping at night. My mind doesn't race or anything, it is just that I don't shut down to sleep. My question is: Is melatonin supposed to keep you asleep the entire night? Do I need to experiment with a different dose? I take 1 mg. and have experimented with .75 mg.
