lately ive been reading a fair bit about eeg biofeedback which purports to help the brain new neuro pathways through the use of brainwave monitorin and positive feedback.
im curious if anyone knows if there is a link between biofeedback and neurotransmitter imbalances?
specifically, if i have a neurotransmitter imbalance then conceivably id just be wasting my time and money training my brain waves. or, possibly, if my brain waves are somehow 'funky' then maybe that could be tied into the root of my problem rather than a nerochemical issue..
i suppose (as i ramble on) what im looking for, is, could a neurotransmitter imbalance cause a disturbance in the brain wave patterns such that treating them with eeg biofeedback would be tantamount to treating the symptoms and not the underlying condition..
thoughts?
