Sedona, I don't know anything about this stuff. But instinct tells me that if you feel worse now than you felt before, maybe it is time to wean off as many meds as possible, under the supervision of a sympathetic doc, maybe your family doc if you have a good relationship with him/her as it sounds like your pdoc might not be sympathetic.

For migrainers, it is often very, very helpful to have what we call a med vacation. We come off all daily meds, and let our systems get back to what is normal for us, and then try meds differently.

I don't know if that would be helpful with psychiatric meds. I know absolutely that it should be done only under the suprevision of a doc, and done slowly and carefully.

One med I took for migraines made me crazy - and it was hard to convince even my psychiatrist that it caused the crack up I had then, but I LIVE IN THIS BODY and tend to have a pretty good idea of what is going on in here.

So, enough rambling on my part. If you feel you're thinking rationally, and that you need to change the med go round, then do so, but please do so intelligently and with the help of a doc you trust.

Take care.
