Hi,
In the UK, piracetam is a prescription drug. I think it's better to think of piracetam as a drug rather than a supplement. After all, it is not 'supplementing' any substance which is normally in the diet. Just because people buy it without a prescription doesn't mean that it's not a drug. After all, people buy prescription drugs without a prescription all the time!
Phenibut is another example of a drug which people often wrongly regard as a supplement.
