L-tryptophan HEADACHES

Hi,
Ordered some L-tryptophan, had 100-200 mg on various occasions and had headaches later/the next day. Noticed no improvement in mood.
Have any others felt similar, or what could it indicate about me?
Also I want to know if I actually got tryptophan.
Any help is appreciated...
Inside the caps the substance is very small flakes, quite shiny white, taste kinda chemicalish, and melt on your tongue kinda slowly.
