I have read in many places that low magnesium can lead to insulin resistance, a state where your muscle and fat cells don't give an adequate response to insulin.

Which I presume will gradually abate as the insulin receptors on the cells gradually re-regulate. Anyone know anything about this stuff, could I be right, or am I talking nonsense?

Moreover, the improved sensitivity to insulin will also improve amino acid uptake from the blood, as it too is insulin sensitive. That could well be a part of the muscle response, also. Not just improved energetics, but improved anabolism.
