I am also taking Evening Primerose oil, and flax seed oil. I have been pretty good for the most part but am down to 1/2 pill every few days as I seem to get emotional after about 1 full week off the medication regardless of the supplements. It's mostly anxiety related. I wonder whether I should try the Niacinamide as well...hmmm.

Should I just stay off my AD's after being off them for a week, I seem to always give in and take 1/2 a pill when I am having a really tough day...I know the emotional wreck thing will pass if I continue to stay off, I guess I'm just rying to make this easier on both myself and my husband. Thoughts? I have also been going for accupuncture to help.

I have heard of Candida being implicated in depression. I keep meaning to go on a program to get things back in balance but haven't gotten around to it yet. There are other health benefits to getting your system balanced as well.

It's hard to tell you what to do with your antidepressant versus the supplements. Only you can judge if the supplements are giving you enough help. One good thing about such a comprehensive supplement is that it takes care of so many things at once. On the otherhand, you don't get to find out which things work for you the best so you don't know what to try increasing. I guess if I were you I wouldn't stop the antidepressant until I felt that I didn't need it anymore - that the supplements were taking up all of the slack. Maybe continue to add things or increase dosage of certain things until you feel you don't need the antidepressant, then you can continue to gradually go off of it.

I went off of mine without adequate support and I'm now paying the price for it.

I have personally found niacinamide to work incredibly well for anxiety. I only need 1/3 to 1/2 of a 500 mg. capsule (Twinlab brand) and it calms me down so much. I usually don't feel much from supplements either. I was truly amazed at how well this worked. It works as an antihistamine would so dont take any of those at the same time.

Good luck.
