If you have severe depression it is important to attend a psychiatist.You can supplement the medication with various other treatments but you should discuss it with the pdoc too.If you want to have detailed analysis of your body chemistry/biochemistry I would suggest you attend Pfeiffer Center (www.hriptc.org) in Chicago where they will do over 100 tests on you.It will though cost$2000-3000 but sometimes insurance will cover the cost.
