> I know it is rare, and I will be making regular visits to have my enzyme levels monitored, but in the spirit of an ounce of prevention being a good thing, what supplements would help my liver out while taking pemoline (Cylert)?
A general recommendation would be milk thistle extract.
See:
http://dreampharm.com/zmilkt.aspThere are excellent links about milk thistle at the bottom of the page.
I looked high and low, and I can't find the specific mechanism by which pemoline causes liver failure, so I can only recommend a general liver protectant.
Apart from milk thistle, N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) helps ensure adequate liver glutathione function, and alphalipoic acid is a good liver supportive antioxidant.
Good luck,
