Ron Hill and I both found that a high initial dose regime (10 mg/day) was something like "filling up the well", but that fairly quickly felt like too much (well overflowing), so a substantially reduced dose was needed for maintenance (keeping the well topped up).
I think both of us used 10 mg/day for about five days, and then the dose was drastically cut....I use 5-10 mg/week, on an intuitive dosing schedule.
