In reply to Whats the maximum I can take of tryptophan?, posted by Wolf Dreamer on November 7, 2003, at 12:29:24
hello. I realise I am late on this one ....
Anyhow, Canadian gal here who has been prescribed 1 gram of Tryptan (canadian pharmaceutical version of of L-tryptophan) a day. I do remember reading that for bipolar (which i am) up to 8 grams a day can be taken.
And I have been told to take it with food to prevent stomach upset.
I hope this helps.
