If you have had sucess can you tell me where you got your light and what kind of light you got? My partner has SAD and depression...it's a tough combination. Thanks

I've not been diagnosed with SAD but have used light therapy (mine is a visor) hoping it would help with depression which seemed to worsen during the dark months. It wasn't a cure, but I thought it helped some...to get to sleep especially. I also ran across some info lately that I'd wish I'd had before as now I think I may not have been using it early enough in the day, this questionnaire: http://www.cet.org/AutoMEQ.htm

Some more links I had bookmarked:

I looked all this up for somebody once before, so here's some shopping sites I had bookmarked:

Some "how to choose" advice: http://www.lighttherapyproducts.com/straighttalk.html

This is the brand and type of visor (the deluxe) I've had for several years now, without trouble or need to replace the bulb...yet. http://biobrite.com/Cart/visors.php3

You'll also see on those sites "dawn simulators", which are lights that wake you up gradually mimicking natural daybreak. Here's an article about that:
