When to take vit C to not kill stim, yet help sups

Posted by Kacy on November 2, 2003, at 17:54:59

I'm trying Adderall (again). I'll take it early am and at about noon.

I have a lot of questions about how to take vitamin C. Short answers would be fine. I'd appreciate the help.

I was taking 500 mg of C twice a day. The bottle doesn't say 'buffered' (what does that mean?) nor does it say 'time-released'. Would 'buffered' protect my Adderall response? (I read that once on this board: i.e., buffered C doesn't interfere with medications.)

I think I need to take vitamin C with 1000 mg DL Phenylalanine. I started taking the two together early morning.

I have a new multi-vitamin that has C in it that I want to take in the morning, too. It has 250 mg, or 417% rda, "as ascorbic acid, rosehips".

Can anyone tell me how long after I take a vitamin C tablet that it can interfere with Adderall? If you shoudn't take vitamin C with Adderall, do you take all of your vitamin C at night? Does that cause a shortage of C for other things in the daytime? Does my multi-vitamin need to be switched to evenings? Can anyone tell me what other supplements vitamin C is most critical for and, therefore, would need to be taken at the same time?

I hope I can keep taking the DL Phenylalanine in the morning. I don't know if it's working. I'm just now trying a higher dose.
